Our work is part of an upcoming National Geographic documentary called “Aliens of the Deep”

Cover Shot – National Fisherman

One of Bryce’s photos is the cover of the October 2011 issue of National Fisherman.  It was taken over 160 miles offshore Hawaii at the Cross Seamount, documenting the commercial tuna fishery and Captain Kenton Geer.

California Senate votes 25-8 to ban shark fin soup!

Amazing news with California voting to ban shark fin products in the state.  Governor hopefully to sign into law soon.  This was a huge hurdle in the battle for sharks – and so many groups and individuals came together to make it happen and show people how important this law really is.

Congratulations to WildAid, Oceana, Shark Savers, Sea Stewards and everyone else involved.

TIME Magazine Image – “Code Blue”

This months TIME Magazine has a two page photo of Bryce free-diving in the Sargasso Sea while filming for the Mission Blue film with Sylvia Earle.

Living Ocean’s image of a juvenile Galapagos Sea Lion wins the Great Outdoors contest in PDN Magazine and National Geographic Explorer – Beaches, Islands and Underwater Category

On exhibit in Monterrey – ILCP “12 Shots”

Living Ocean will be at the Blue Ocean Film Festival – 12 of our shark images will be on exhibit with the ILCP (International League of Conservation Photographers) and their 12 Shots Party on August 25 & 26 – in Monterrey, California.

Our photos used for CI and WildAid publication

Two of our photos were chosen for the cover of a new publication put out by WildAid and Conservation International: “An Analysis of the Law Enforcement Chain in the Eastern Tropical Pacific Seascape” – including issues in Costa Rica, Panama, Columbia and Ecuador.

Hawaii is now the safest place in the world for sharks! SB2169 goes into effect

In just a handful of months, SB2169 gets signed into law by the Governor – making Hawaii one of the safest places in the world for sharks.  The press conference we put on and the party at Mandalay Restaurant was a great success.  Going global now with WildAid, Shark Allies and Senator Hee.
